I am now the happy owner of a twentieth anniversary edition of So You Want to Be a Wizard, a handsome hardback which includes an illuminating afterword and a Nita 'n' Kit short story from 1986. Coooool. I am almost tempted to squee. *g*

*reads short story and resumes waiting for the conclusions of the Middle Kingdoms and Rihannsu series*

Number of the Beast got really... silly at the end. Not that it wasn't silly to start. And I wasn't so fond of Time Enough for Love. That guy irritates me. (But that's probably just because I love The Cat Who Walks Through Walls. Which ones did you try that didn't work? Assignment: Eternity had one of my friends doing flinging and "Must... control... fist... of... death..."

I think it was To Sail Beyond the Sunset that really got my goat. Of course, that was before I started reading fanfic, when my squick factor was a lot lower....
