Hello, I'm new here, and I was wondering who has read "The Book Of Night With Moon" and/or "To Vist The Queen" and what they thought about it. I am personally obsessed with it because it just so completely captures cats and it's funny without trying too hard, the whole idea is wonderful, the wizardry is wonderful and it's CATS.

Also, I'm really antisipating at arival of "Wizards At War" though I sort of, er, worried about the titles. War? What type that they haven't already been fighting and how.

One last thing. What's up with Ponch? I know that most wizard's pets soak up some magic, and that's what his dimensional thing is, but Diane Duane keeps hinting by writing soemthing like "And he watched thoughtfully as Kit slept, thinking ect ect." The dogs are barking to him, and he spoke to Urruah in Ailurian, which I've not traclated. What do you think is happening. I personally think it's some sort of embodiment of some dog god. Still, it's only really started up in the last few books so I don't know.

I really liked both the Cats of Grand central novels- I'm na sucker for good cameos, for one thing, and also of course I like the universe. And Urruah is great, so yeah, I liked them a lot.

As for Wizards at War, Dd has made several rather pointed comments that seme to imply it will be a rather large-scale war, flashy and dramatic and cool. :D I'm looking forward to it! From Holiday, I suspect maybe it will be an interplanetary war... v exciting. :p

As for Ponch- the truth is, no-one knows. DD is positively enjoying watching us squirm, I know that- but apart from that no-ones' had anything concrete. Oh well. :) We'll find out, I guess..

For a LOT more on both of those topics, you shouild check out Young Wizards.net (http://www.youngwizards.net) and especially the forum. There's a lot of great stuff there, and heaps of info from DD.

I've read those books. I enjoyed them, and want to know when the next one is coming out, because I smell Romance in the works...

It doesn't hurt that we have a few cat-wizards around here, though they seem to be more... settled.

Remember that character that changed in her name? I wouldn't be surprised if something happened. And the foreshadowing with "would have come out just the same except white, blue-eyed, and possibly deaf"?
