I'm sort of a research nut, so I decided to go through all the books and collect all the information we know about Tom and Carl from them. In the end I made this sort of essay-encyclopedia-description of everything. Thought I'd post it here for anyone who wanted a reference, for your own interest or fanfic or whatever.

Also, I went through the Errantry Concordance to find all of the words in the Speech DD has made up and listed them with vague meanings, just to have a list of it in one place. I'm almost certain I've forgotten some, and it's in pretty rough shape.

The Tom and Carl info is very good -- love them and I don't think they get enough fannish attention :). I don't know if it's too late for this, but one thing I'd find interesting is citations for the facts and quotations, so I'd know where to go to read up on a tidbit (like -- I can't remember the source for Tom saying he'd know if Carl were dead).
