Nice place you have here.

I love the books... can't wait for the next one.

I'm tempted to read this (The First 3 Chapters of Wizards at War), but I sort of don't want to ruin the suprise...

Oh yes, I just discovered that last night. It's delightful, but there's so much stuff I didn't know about.

lol, quite while ago, DD put a very short section of Wizard's Holiday into her weblog. She doesn't usually put anything having to do with her writing there, but it was the anniversary of 9/11, and I guess she was making an exception. Anyway, it was a passage where Tom is telling Nita's dad that there are moments in time that are "hinge" moments, and that wizards try to recognize them coming, but sometimes all you can do is to pick up the pieces.

It really spoke to me, knowing that it was about 9/11, and when I finally got the finished book a few months later, I was confused when I remembered very clearly reading this passage. It took me two days to remember that she had posted it, and that's why I had read it already. Then I felt kind of silly.

It's a strange feeling, but then I read the chapters of Wizards at War that she's put up anyway. At least since it's near the beginning, and not some random section, I won't feel too disoriented. I just can't help reading it as long as it's available.
