Hi guys, I only just refound this - I forgot to join it earlier, so I'm a first time poster here, but a long time fan of the books. Some of you might know me as Alla from the YW.net forums.

This might seem like a silly question, but I was wondering how many other fans are out there who actually live in Australia. I know that I'm not the only one, but it would be nice to find some other people who were, well, local in the sense of being in the same country (Australians seem to be in short supply on YW.net).

So yeah... Thats about all that I have to say :)

Sorry: I, at least, live in NZ, not Oz. Don't hold it against me and I won't hold it against you, ne?

OMG! Another Australian YW fan? \o/ I don't know anyone else here who's a fan of YW, I'll mention it to them and they'll be all "???". And it takes so looooong for books to get here -_- Wizard's Holiday is in stores now, but when I got it I had to get my local bookshop to order it from their US supplier. :<

>_> Saying "g'day" totally makes you un-Australian, though. XD;

Now you have to move to Melbourne~ :P

I'm in New Zealand. We both know that's not the same as Australia, but some people from far away sometimes muddle them up, so I guess we're pretty close. :o)

Yeah, we should XP. How'd you find out about the books?

They have them at the local library, and at the bigger branch in the Hutt, and at the Wellington library - Wellington is the only one with more than just the YW series - it has The Book of Night with Moon, To Visit the Queen (aka On Her Magesty's Wizarding Service) and The Sword and The Dragon (Tale of the Five).

I don't think I've ever seen them in a bookstore, though...

Brisbane is too... Brisbane-y. :D I dunno, I just like Melbourne best for some strange reason... XD I didn't even think of looking in Borders for the newer ones tbh, until I realised they had them~

I'd love to join the forums, but right now I'm so busy T_T I probably wouldn't have much time to post. I'll try and remember to join after my exams are over. XD And as for the slang, perhaps you'll find this (http://community.livejournal.com/youngwizards/46694.html) funny. :3

I keep telling my friends to read the books, but they never dooooooooo. >O

I've lived in the same house all my life - south-eastern inner suburbs. ;) I love it here and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. D:

Brand noobie fan here ... reading steadily through the (audio) books, I'm currently reading A Wizard Abroad and I just noticed today that there are two ADULT books too and now I don't know if they fit into the chronology at a certain point or if I should read them after all the YA ones or if it doesn't matter.

And having fun!!!
