Aargh! I wish I'd been able to read something this awesome for class. ;_; Barely anyone here has even heard of the books, and nothing past 5 was released - I have to order later ones from the US.
Hmm...I think I once did a report on the series for Religion class in about 11th or 12th grade...don't ask, I don't remember. It fit. That's all I can really remember. I have had varying luck with getting others to read YW. Mom's read some of it, Dad and my brother Pat LOVE the series. My youngest brother hasn't read it, and the oldest--I don't rmember. I do remember that I tried to get him to read SYWTBAW and he skipped the chapter titled "Prolouge". Then he got annoyed with me because the book was confusing. I got annoyed at him for not reading the whole thing. I think I can get at least one or two of my other friends to read YW if I lend them the books, but I know I'll have no luck getting Shaun (my boyfriend) to read them. I tried. He didn't get past the point where they go to see Tom and Carl the first time. Let's see, good fanfics that make sense with only book-one level knowledge.....Um....not comming up with anything. Most of the good fics I've read tend to involve information from at least the original triliogy (up to HW). I really do wish I could be of more help!
